July 26 - An event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Azerbaijan Republic was held.
Representatives from various federations, athletes, and members of the sports community participated in the event, which took place on a special stage created in front of Daniz Mall.
The event started with an artistic performance, featuring a special drum group, followed by a video showcasing the 30-year history of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Afterward, Aydin Mammadov, head of the Mass Physical Education and Technical Sports Sector of the Ministry, awarded the winners of the video and short film competition.
Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Indira Hajiyeva, congratulated everyone on the anniversary. She stated that today is not only a holiday for the young but also a special day for those with a youthful spirit: "The Ministry of Youth and Sports was established 30 years ago by the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev. During these years, local sports administrations began to operate. The country's youth policy has evolved since then. If we divide this period into stages, from 1994-2005, MYS institutions were established. Disadvantaged youth gained trust in the state. Sports infrastructures were built in the following years. Today, there are 33 youth centers and about 50 Olympic sports complexes in our country. All this is for the development of our youth."
The event continued with a concert program featuring performances by Murad Arif and Rilaya.
In the end, the event participants watched the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics together on the screen installed here.
